Coba, the oldest Mayan city in the Yucatan Península.
Spectacular landscapes in the middle of the jungle that offers you the magical experience of climbing to the top of one of the highest constructions in ancient Mayan civilization, the great pyramid of Nohoch Mul.
Upon leaving the archaeological site, we will go to one of the most impressive cenotes of the Mayan community to swim and refresh
Our lunch will be at one of the coba restaurants, renowned for its delicious authentic Mayan dishes
After lunch in Coba, we´ll continue to Ek-Balam a newly uncovered Mayan archeological site with some very distinct features. The wonderfully preserved state of the sculptures and frescos Ek Balam are some of the most outstanding examples of the art of the ancient Maya. Some figures are winged, some in the meditative ¨lotus¨ position, one sits headless above the center of the “monster mouth”. All are beautiful and exquisitely crafted
