Chichen Itza and Valladolid

Chichén Itzá is one of the main archaeological sites of the Yucatan peninsula, it is located in the municipality of Tinum, in the state of Yucatan. It consisted of a city or a ceremonial center, which passed through different constructive epochs and influences of the different peoples that occupied it and that promoted it since its foundation. Important and renowned vestige of the Mayan civilization, the main buildings that remain there correspond to the period called Late Classic or Early Postclassic (800-1100 AD).
It was inscribed on the list of World Heritage by Unesco in 1988

 Tour Program

Pick up around 8:00 am in your hotel lobby, please note that it takes around 2 1/2 hs. to get to Chichen Itza (if you want to enjoy the site before the majority of visitors gets there, we can also arrange an earlier pick up. e.g. 6:30 am);

Guided journey and inside Chichen Itza archeological site: about 2 1/2 hrs.

Swimming in a private Cenote after the ruins to cool off;

Lunch at El Meson del Marquez in Valladolid (vegetarians welcome);

Free time for pictures and shopping in Valladolid;

Return around 6:00 pm to your hotel.
